Demo of Sente Cyspera. Demo video of Sente Cyspera. This wash off product helps even out skin tone in those with melasma. It became available in the USA just this past September 2019. The star ingredient is Cysteamine and it is quite stinky. I have a lot of information in my Highlights titled Cyspera. Take a look!

It's been a game changer for my melasma. Worth every penny since it has done wonders for my skin and one tube can last such a long time when you are in the maintenance phase. I have sensitive skin that can't tolerate hydroquinone 4% or higher. I also can't tolerate regular use of glycolic acid. Because of my Asian background IPL and most laser treatments can potentially worsen my melasma. Now you see why Cyspera is such a game changer for me!

Not sure if this is as effective for general hyperpigmentation or PIH, but for melasma, I plan to use this forever if I can.

Please do not use if you have vitiligo, if you are pregnant or nursing.

Let me know if there are other videos you'd like me to make or if you have feedback on how to makek the video better!

And don't forget to enter my bday giveaway for one tube of Cyspera!

Comparison Skinmedica Lytera 2.0 vs Sente Cyspera

I've been asked which I thought is a better product for melasma. If you have stubborn or large areas of hyperpigmentation and want to see results within a few months start with Cyspera. Check my Highlight titled Cyspera for more information. It's labor intensive and smells stinky but so worth it!! Also one tube is 50gm (not 30gm) so it is more product than your average serum. This product doesn't go on sale often so keep an eye out during special holidays.

Lytera is a very very slow working product for reducing and preventing hyperpigmentation. It contains niacinamide, phenylethyl resorcinol (tyrosinase inhibitor), tranexamic acid (anti-inflammatory, inhibits tyrosinase synthesis in melanocytes and also blocks the transfer of pigment from melanocytes to keratinocytes in the epidermis), and tetrapeptide-30 (tyrosinase inhibitor). It's advised to use it twice a day. It has a slightly sticky texture that some people don't like but I don't notice it and it doesn't bother me. The bottle is 60ml so be sure to factor that when looking at the price since it is a much larger volume of product that usual serums. I always wait for a sale whenever I can.

If your budget only allows for one product try Cyspera (as long as you are not pregnant or nursing) and once you are content with results you can either continue with maintnance 2-3 times a week of Cyspera or if you can't stand the rotten egg smell then switch to Lytera after the active treatment phase of Cyspera (16 weeks).

If you can afford cosmetic consultations and procedures like peels, laser, PRP+microneedling these products could be adjuncts to the treatments offered, but I am well aware and sensitive to the fact that not many can or want to spend that kind of money nor have access to those services. I'm happy to discover alternatives that work and are worth the hard earned money.

Results from 2 months on cyspera!
(Top is before)

This is a form of pigmentation called Melasma. Melasma is thought to be caused by sun exposure or hormonal changes & other times it is just your genetic predisposition. Although it can affect anyone, melasma is particularly common in women, especially pregnant women and those who are taking oral or patch contraceptives or hormone replacement therapy.

Cysteamine cream works by decreasing the amount of cystine (an amino acid) within the body. This cream helps decrease melanin pigment within the skin.

This cream is manufactured by Scientis Pharma, which is a leading dermatology research company in Geneva, Switzerland. They are the first to release a cysteamine cream to treat hyperpigmentation.

Cyspera is formulated with Cysteamine which is an enzyme, and helps with lightening dark spots. It also has niacinamide, which has been researched as a tyrosinase inhibitor and worlds for dark spots, and discoloration.

I saw amazing results from it and saw Vi’s mother using this as well and her before and after Blew my mind, so I decided to recommend it to my clients. Finally Cyspera reached out and gifted me this sample, so I can try and also educate my audience about it.

This is called post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.... so after breakouts ... ending up with darker skin.

Here - the dark pigment was corrected by using a combination of Tazarac 0.1% cream and Cyspera 15 minutes daily x 12 weeks.

These photos are from the LivDerm conference on Derm and racial disparities.

Awesome example of combo treatment with amazing outcomes.

We love our Cyspera - give us a call if you need help improving hyperpigmentation issues.

Healing from the inside out! Skin Health speaks for itself✨

We’ve made this transformation adding in retinol, cyspera (full face and eyelids/under eyes), nourishing moisturizer, and a physical exfoliant. Monthly Carpet Ready Facials were simple and to the point. I am so happy for her!

Now that OTC hydroquinone is no longer available, how should you treat your melasma and hyperpigmentation this summer?

Look for products with two ingredients that can achieve and maintain the results that hydroquinone can achieve, cysteamine and tranexamic acid (TXA).

I also drop my favorite products that contain these actives including cyspera, mytopicals Faded, skinceuticals Discoloration Defense and skinmedica Lytera2.0.

Have you developed a plan since HQ has been pulled from shelves? What’s your go-to product for discoloration? Let me know your thoughts on these.
